THE IDEA The Instrument Is Also the ArtworkYin Hua Jin's paintings on a single human hair are created at a scale that cannot be fully appreciated by the naked eye. The microscope therefore became an essential part of the artistic experience. Instead of placing an ordinary laboratory microscope beside the artwork, Jin created a microscope with an artistic architectural form.
